I'm pleased to announce that I will now be working with The TR Agency for my bookings. I met Tyler at Folk Alliance International music conference. His agency books The Crane Wives, Harbour, and many more great acts. I'm excited to bring them on board the team! Big thanks to Folk Alliance and The Accidentals for helping to make this connection possible.

Happy New Year my friends! Hope you guys had a great year. To start the year off, I'm independently releasing all of my music across the web for downloading and streaming. These albums will be up for grabs Jan 11th but you can pre-order at them now! Click the following album titles to be taken to their pre-order page. Rearrangements, Etherica, SleEP

Man... what an incredible year it has been performing with The Accidentals. We just got back from our 70 day tour across North America. It was epic to say the least. These people are some of the most talented, real and giving folks I've ever met and I'm sincerely grateful to them for taking me on their tours this year, opening so many doors for me and letting me be part of their family.

Makoto Terasaki, the chief of guitar building at Takamine, laid some news on me this weekend. He wants to build me a custom Takamine guitar. This is something I have dreamed about since I started playing Takamine in 2008. In a career that is so mentally, emotionally and physically demanding, it's moments like this that make it all worth it.

Nashvillians and Summer NAMM goers, I'm very excited to announce that the amazing Mike Dawes and I will be doing a show together July 13th at City Winery Nashville. A huge thanks to ToneWoodAmps and Takamine Guitars for sponsoring the event. Click below for tickets.

The Hollow Sound of Melody, an in studio performance of the Etherica album in it's entirety, is now available for viewing on YouTube. Click below to be taken to the playlist.

Last night was truly an incredible ending to an amazing tour with The Accidentals. Today was the first day I was able to slow down and really digest some of the events of the last month. My sincere gratitude goes out to those of you who attended the shows and supported both the band sets and my solo sets.

I'm very excited to announce that I will be joining The Accidentals tour to SXSW in Austin, TX. I'll be opening their shows and also playing guitar and keys with them. They put on a great show and their music is in a class of it's own. Check out the Shows page to see where you can catch us in March and learn more about The Accidentals at www.moreaccidentals.com

Katie Larson from The Accidentals came by the studio this week to perform cello on the upcoming album. She is a one of a kind player and person. Check out her amazing band here: www.moreaccidentals.com

"Good friends help friends clean up their vomit..." It's been a wildly rewarding experience shooting a music video for the last four days with director Jake Burgess. More to come.

Hello friends. The next JA album is well on it's way. January of '17 I will resume touring America and potentially a new continent as well.

After a little time away I'm back in the game. I'm happy to announce some dates in AZ and CA. Check out the tour page for details.

This week I took a writing retreat to a remote cabin on the coast of Lake Michigan. It was insightful and inspiring. The new album is taking it's sweet time to develop. Sweet indeed.

Happy New Year! I've been deep in creation and I apologize for not updating you guys as much as I'd like to. The good news is I have a couple of out west shows coming up this month in Phoenix and San Diego. Check out the tour page for the details. Can't wait to see my friends and fans from these places again. Much love, -Jake

Greetings world wide web... Just wanted to check in. I am deep into creating my next album which I am excited to share with you. Things are shaping up well in the new studio. A transformation is happening. See you out there in the field soon. -Jake

NEW PURPOSE DRIVEN JAKE ALLEN RELEASE AVAILABLE NOW: In 1988 my father, Allen Bondar, wrote and recorded a rock song about mankind’s transgressions against Mother Nature. The song, “Mom,” was a male/female duet with the female being Mother Nature herself and the male being a spectator of the destruction. Many people connected with the song including myself. One fan even wrote a Broadway inspired screenplay around the song catering to its theatrical nature. I always wanted to record and produce my own version of “Mom” so this year I decided it was time. Dharma Record’s artist Penny Jean joined me on the track singing the part of Mother Nature. With Dharma Record’s support I have released this song on all major online music retailing sites. All of the proceeds from the downloads of “Mom” will be donated to Archangel Ancient Tree Archive, a Michigan based environmental preservation company. They specialize in cloning, planting and preserving old growth trees all around the world. Learn more about them here: www.ancienttreearchive.org Please click on the photo below to download the song from iTunes and make a positive impact on our planet by helping our important old growth forests thrive for generations to come. Thank you for the support, -Jake

Today, my team and I launched an Indiegogo fundraising campaign to create a studio in Northern Michigan where the next Jake Allen album, the debut Cookies album (the funky dance band I play drums in) and many projects from our musicians here in Northern Michigan will be recorded. We have some great incentives we are offering to you for donating to this campaign including house concerts, guitar lessons from myself and even songs written to you from me about any topic you want. Click on the picture below to go to the campaign page and learn more.

WOW, NAMM was awesome. I got to play with, chat with and open for some of my favorite artists in the music industry. I send out a huge thank you to Fender Guitars for bringing me out and giving me the honor of showing off the new and amazing Fender Custom Shop Acoustics. Click on the pic below to see a few photos from NAMM and my trip out west.

Happy new year folks. This is my favorite time of year. It has become a tradition for me to venture to CA and play the NAMM show the last few years and doing so always brings great things into my life. I'll be heading out on Tuesday and stopping in Arizona to play for my friends and fans in the valley too... and who could forget San Diego. Click the pic for all the details and check out the tour section for more info too.

Hello friends, sorry it has been a bit since my last news post. I've been busy in "the lab" and with other musical side projects here in Michigan where I have been residing since the beginning of the summer. Since my last post I am officially a harpist... in self training. I am deeply enjoying picking up this new instrument and translating what's inside in a new way. Video samples to come.

In other news, I will be heading out west in January to play shows in Scottsdale, San Diego and at the 2014 Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA. I will be there showing off a new line of beautiful acoustic guitars from the Fender Custom Shop so if you are heading to NAMM yourself make sure to come up to the third floor and say hi! Check out the tour page for the details on all of these shows.

New Takamine newsletter video.

I'll be in So Cal for an event with Fender guitars next week. Of course I can't leave San Diego hangin! One night only at one of my favorite venues in town. Click the photo to RSVP on facebook.

Hey MI friends, do you have kids or friends in grades 6-12 who are into music/performing?? This summer I am going to be teaching advanced guitar workshops at a music camp for kids in the Traverse City area known as SEEDS School of Rock! Other musicians teaching include Seth Bernard, May Elerwine, Brennan Andes (Macpodz), Graham Parsons (Go Rounds) and many more. This will be a great opportunity for the youth to learn the ins and outs of every aspect of being a professional musician. Click the Seeds logo for more information on attending SEEDS School of Rock!

What an outstanding trip to California. Every time I come over there you guys make me want to stay! Thanks to all who came out to the shows. Here are a few photos from the eventful week.

This year I will begin playing an instrument that I have been drawn to for a very long time. I'm excited to announce that Rees Harp Company out of Rising Sun, Indiana is going to be teaming up with me on my musical journey and building me a custom 34 string harp! They are really good people and their harps are played by many world class harpists. I am so grateful for their interest in seeing what I will do with the harp. I'm going to have some serious work to dive into but I hope to come out if integrating unique techniques of playing and shining a new light on this incredible instrument. Check out their products at www.reesharps.com
